Today I was again in a strange mood. As I yesterday started to style the new “Aphrodisia” dress from Fellini Couture, I had something romantic lightly vintage with a huge hat in mind. I have no clue why, but while I was entering SL and staring at the login screen, that always shows you your last picture I came across a totally different vision.

Maybe it had to do as well that I listened to one of my favourite bands the whole day. One song of Evanescence was very close to me for a long time. That’s why I linked “Bring me back to life” in the beginning as it kinda was a huge part of my inspiration for the pictures and look.

But now lets take a look on the wonderful “Aphrodisia” dress from Fellini Couture and the whole look around it. The “Aphrodisia” dress is a white and very romantic dress with lots of amazing and different textures. The mixture of filigree lace, the opaque ornamented parts and the flowers makes this dress to a little piece of art. Joy Fellini again shows why she is on top of the SL fashion scene for such a long time with her genius ideas and incredible skills.

Right beside on top of the fashion heaven, we have yula Finesmith, owner and designer of Finesmith. She released not too long ago a wonderful male collection and the parts I am wearing today I took out of this one. I did not see any reason, if males can wear female jewelry, why the girls cannot wear the male jewelry :p. I just had to resize the “Heartology” necklace for sure as it was way bigger for a males neck . The “Heartology” wings I took like they are without any changes.

The awesome hat is part of the “Halloween Horror Collection” if hats from Bliss Couture. Amutey DeCuir made a super cool hat collection for Halloween 2011 and I see no reason why we cannot use them during the year if it matches :p.

Maybe if you look at the pics while you hear the song you can get a part of my mood that I had, while I was doing this pictures. The first time I dared to make my own fog and parts of the hair and I am amazed what came out after all this hours between looking at tutorials, reading advises and try & error For sure it is not the end of the scale, but a wonderful new start for me to work on even more pictures

I did a lot of nice gowns, cute casuals and wonderful summer outfits lately. I can do that to a certain point… being nice, sweet, polite, “normal” and maybe even cute. But then somewhen it breaks through again and I have to do something weird, crazy and edgy :p

I was listening to one of my favourite bands (linked above) and just started styling…

This time the beginning of the look was the new “Downward Spiral Gauge” piercing set of Haus of Darcy (HoD). This amazing and unusual set of piercings brought me on the thought of a fantasy elf. I reminded a skin from Tableau Vivant that was a group gift in the past… a male skin. But for some reason the face was not looking that much male and more like all the new androgyny skins that are on the grid and I really loved what it did with my face… just the upper body looked not that nice as I am a female and it looked kinda weird. I tried to find clothing that covered the most parts but nothing made the vibe that I wanted. Finally I found a very old outfit from Chaospire, really one of the very first ones I ever bought. I put it on and it totally matched my imagination and emotions, that I had for this styling and again the half of the upper body was uncovered *sighs*. I continued with the shoes first and some of the latest releases of Ezura totally met my idea

I tried to snap from different angles and what not but nothing really came out, that nearly satisfied my vision of this styling and picture. I searched through Flickr and over a lot of profiles of SL photographers but nothing really captured my heart… suddenly I came to the stream of Annan Adored. I know Annan from a MVW Academy class and I follow her Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/annanadored/) and work for longer, as she has something very special in her pictures – the little special extra I so desired for this style and picture. I looked up her profile and saw she does not accept client work for now and for a few days I did not even dare to ask her and kept trying on my own. It never reached at least 10% of my vision and I took a deep breath and dared to ask Annan if she could do the pictures for me. I was biting my nails till she answered and I jumped around like crazy literally as she said she would do it!!!

I told her about the problem of the male skin and about my emotions, feeling and vision for this picture and she immediately picked it up. It put a huge smile on my face as she sent me an idea for a background and I nearly could not wait for the shooting. A few days later the shooting was done and I was so nervous and excited that I had to bite my lips not to ask constantly. One day later Annan asked me for my email address to send me the done pictures and as I saw them I was speechless… this pictures outdid all what I ever could imagine… I was not even dreaming about such incredible pics that totally picked up my vision.

I have no words that are strong enough to say how grateful I am Annan…

“Dark Widow” – One of the latest releases from EMO-tions. A wonderful black and seducting dress made by Mirja Mills, owner and designer of EMO-tions. The dress has a wonderful bodice mae of lace with amazing ornaments. The bra looks like sexy leather that covers the needed parts The skirt and the wrist parts are amazing flexible and as well made of lace.

The hair as well is one of the latest releases of EMO-tions. The name made me kinda laugh but it fits perfect in my opinion. The wild and crazy hairstyle is called “Noise” and somehow it looks like that.. loud and eye-catching

The wonderful makeup as well is a new release from LovelyMi. Lovely Miwako created some new wonderful makeup sets and the “Couture Stain” in black is one of them. The beautiful black ‘mask’ covers half of your face and what I like the most… it is not symmetric. It will be available in different colors.. I am not yet saying which ones beside the black version :p. It soon will be a limited item at the LovelyMi Mainstore, so better watch out not to miss it .

Today I would like to show you a dress that rally caught my attention, as I was discovering this store I never was before. I already used some of the fantastic hairstyles they sell before, but today I wanna tell a bit more about it

I am talking about Zibska… Th first  time I saw this brand was at the Hairfair 2012. They had some very unique and extravagant hairstyles in their little Hairfair shop and I just bought them all :p

A few weeks later I got a voucher for the store because of that and I made my way over there – what I saw nearly took my breath away… a huge store with all kind of things… hair, outfits, jewelry, makeups and so many nice and extraordinary things!!! I started buying makeups and as I was on my way over to the other side where I spied the hair I passed a huge wall with all of the Zibska group gifts. Amazing items in that wall and one outfit caught my eyes… the “Scappa!” dress. I tried to join the group and like always all my group slots were full.. I started thinking which group I could leave temporarily but then I thought, that it would be not fair to just join a group to get the “Scappa!” dress… So I decided to write to Zib Scaggs, over and designer of Zibska and just ask if I maybe could buy it. I really wanted this outfit so bad… *blushes*

Zib was very nice and kind and she as well seemed as she had discovered my shopping attack and she gave me the dress.

The “Scappa!” dress makes you become a clock. The huge skirt is made of big and little hands of a clock and all the numbers floating around just complete the imagination I wanted to make a very controversy look as I added the “Wanderlust” boots and the “Skull Violin”. Heavy shoes, a dress and a violin… with each part I added ideas came up in my mind… feelings… emotions…

The hair as well is from Zibska, called”Vette” and the wonderful detailed and filigree monocle is made by Crie Style.

More and more the idea of a lonely girl, time passing by and a fantasy mood was growing in my head… I saw water, ruins, accessories that show how time goes by till the very end of time. I tried to ban this emotions, impressions and ideas on a picture but all I tried did not really catch my feelings. Suddenly a dear friend came in my mind, who already did me a wonderful emotional fantasy picture and I again knocked on Annan Adored‘s IM window… I always have a hard time to bother her, since she is a very busy blogger and photographer but she welcomed me so nice and warm that I told her about my misery.  I could hear the smile on her face as she asked me if I could show her the outfit. She came over and we looked together on what I did and she started to tell me her impressions about what she just saw… it was like she looked inside my head… she was talking about ruins, about time, clocks and simply just what I had imagined, when I was doing the styling. She showed me different windlights she had in mind (she created a few super awesome windlights herself that she gives away on her blog! http://interstylefashion.wordpress.com/2012/09/01/my-windlight-settings/)   and I was not so sad anymore, as I felt that she understands my vision about this picture.

She told me that she will need a few days to build a small scenery for the pic. 3 days later she TPed me and again I was speechless when I saw what she did… this woman is full of surprises and amazes me again and again… she really is an artist per excellence!!!

Raven Pennyfeather, owner and designer of House of Rfyre, released a new and wonderful collection. The “Ravens Collection” contains 4 outfits, 3 female and one male. Madrid Solo made 5 beautiful and outstanding makeups for the whole “Raven Collection”. I felt very honored as Madrid asked me if I would pose for her vendors for the 3 female makeups. Thanks a lot Madrid ! To make my happiness complete, I was allowed to showcase the  gown of Rfyres “Raven Collection” in the AVENUE Cinque Onyx show. Thanks a lot Raven !The show was as well the release for this incredible collection of Rfyre. For today I would like you show you the 3 females  – outfits and makeups

The first one is a stunning gown over and over made of feathers, matching the raven theme. The mesh corset, that makes that awesome waist is textured with an amazing filigree texture and because of the mesh it moves perfect with every turn and twist of your upper body. The skirt, back piece and the incredible chest piece are awesome flexible feathers and the huge neck part and the little delicate brooch that hold the chest feathers give the whole gown a super elegant touch. On top Raven made some amazing earrings that come with the gown!

The perfect makeup for the “Raven Collection” gown for me was the “Ravens Solo” makeup. The tiny filigree lines at the sides, combined with the beautiful feather on top of the eyes just made the perfect finish for this styling in my opinion

The casual outfit of the “Raven Collection” comes with 3 different possibilities to wear it. The top you can choose from an opaque black to a sheer black with the silver ornaments on or you even just wear only the bra with no top under it at all. The mesh corset highlights the shape of every fashionista perfectly with the wonderful light stripes and the mesh pants make an amazing look that still has a touch of elegance, even if you can wear it as a casual attire.

For this look Madrid Solo‘s “Ravens Flight” makes the perfect addition. Again we see some very filigree and amazing fine lines beside and below the eyes and this time you have 3 red parts that go upon the eyes.

The last outfit for today would be the club version of the “Ravens Collection” A wonderful fresh but still chic looking dress with wonderful parts for wrists, neck and shoulders. You again have the option to choose from 3 versions for the top. Sheer, opaque and one, that only has the beautiful silver lines on it. As well on this look you can see the boots that Rfyre made for the “Ravens Collection”, to match all of the outfits.

The last of the 3 “Ravens” makeups of Madrid Solo would be the “Ravens Flock”. Not as huge and filigree with lines beside and above the eyes this makeup made the perfect club look for me. Still a touch of elegance but a very cool look with the silver/teal parts upon the eyes.

Of fire and dancing.

One day, a fire spirit was curious about the other elements and decided to walk their places. She danced up into the air to see the spirits that could fly. But it did not really work. The flying spirits were afraid of her and pushed her to the ground, but she left her fire in the air. So they learned to dance and were a little bit ashamed that they treated the one who brought the gift so bad.

The fire spirit landed where the creature walked. Those creatures were bound by gravity and cautious about the fire. But they tried to use these gifts the spirit brought. The fire spirit like these slow walkers but longed to see her fellow dancers, so she walked to find them again.

Led by the same instinct that makes birds find north and south she danced over the earth to find home. But then the land ended and became water. By another instinct the dancer knew this was an element to kill her. The powers living in the water felt the same and stayed clear of her. So she started to dance at the shore of the ocean to evaporate the water. As you can imagine, it didn’t work. At times the fire spirit can be seen dancing fast over the land she is trapped on, but she always stops when there is water. But you can always see her gift to the earth when you see someone dance.

Sometimes it it hard to find words to describe what you wanna say. And I tried to find words for this post and they just did not wanna flow. A close friend of mine, who is way better with words and who knows me very well wrote something for me after i showed her the pics and gave her a lot of single words and emotions and I would like to share it as it really expresses, what I only could say with pictures. LeeZu time again!

Again LeeZu surprises us with amazing new releases. I already blogged the “BonBon” dress, wich was made for the FFL (http://wiccamerlin.de/lotd-06242014-leezu-meets-miamai/) and today I would like to showcase some more amazing news by LeeZu.

Let’s starts with the “Cora Ruffleskirt” This sexy short mesh skirt as well was part of the FFL 2014 contributions of LeeZu. I love short skirts but as well, in my opinion, it is more sexy to cover the legs under them with something like a sheer panty hose or stockings. There are times to show those long pixel legs and then there is times where to cover them . I remembered the “Brigitte Body Tights”,  as well from LeeZu and it was the perfect addition to the “Cora Ruffleskirt”.

For the top I wanted something cool and red. I had a special love for the “Dekannche Top” before and I know, that I used it some times before but never in red .

The boots are a cool new release from LeeZu as well. The “Mila Boots” are super cool mesh boots. They have the possibility to change the color of the laces with a HUD and as well you can resize them with a built-in resizer. Those boots are a mixture of heavy boots, with a wonderful detailed texture and the lower leg part with those huge holes makes them even fit to more than just a normal casual style

The amazing fire-red hair is called “Tariel” and comes from EMO-tions. With the sweet little tails that fall down over the shoulders and the chest and the pulled back hair at the top it was the right style to complete my look. Certainly the hair is available in more than just the fire-red tone. With the fatpack you will get all the amazing colors that we know from EMO-tions.

For the location I decided to try the actual sim environment of Bryn Oh. With that amazing dark and creepy surrounding, the look was totally matching in I explored the sim and was send home dead a few times :p . You will find killer bunnies and spooky looking dogs wich will hunt you down if you are not careful enough and keep moving. For me it was a funny and interesting trip over the sim and I just can advise you to try it as well

Anyways if furniture or fashion LeeZu always amazes us with her creations. Today I have the pleasure to showcase one of her latest creations, the “Aurora” gown.

This delicate and elegant gown is a firework of textures and fabrics. The bodice is made with a black satin looking fabric. The right side has an amazing line over the shoulder and the left is totally blank what gives a very sexy touch.  The belly is covered by some filigree white lace on a black base. The black skirt is covered by a wonderful white laced top skirt. A beautiful brooch decorated the left side of the bodice

The jewelry I decided to wear with the “Aurora” gown comes from Baboom. For this stunning gown I wanted to have something that is not blingy or too shiny but still something special. The “Xena Set was exactly the right addition. With the unusual shape and the cool non symmetric wholes it complemented the gown in a very special way. The set contains bracelets and a collar.

The incredible hat was made by [AD] Creations. The “Sophie Mesh HEaddress” added some more elegance and some serious mystic feelings to the whole look. With the horns, the black roses, the steel cage in front of the face and the veil parts it really made a great finish for my today’s look

To underline that black and white idea behind it I put on some of my favourite nails from Nailed It – the “Cracked Set”.

If you blog or create looks and styles, I am sure you know the feeling…

You like something, buy it and it simply does not wanna talk to you in the first place. You get not the exact right idea or have no clue how to stage it right.

Then you put it aside for a few and all of a sudden afer some time you wear it again and immediately know what you wanna do with it, kinda as it would talk to you.

Exactly that happened to me with the “Biopunk” outfit from [sys]. I liked, it had a very cool attitude but when I was wearing the first time I was sure I wanted to blog it, but I had no idea for a scenery or  background.

When I was putting it on yesterday again, I had immediately the idea how I wanted it to look like.

I wanted a cool tough environment for a futuristic, urban, swag look.

The “Biopunk” outfit contains a short with open zippers, leggings and the boots.

To pimp it even more towards my futuristic idea, I am wearing the “Inquisition” sunglasses, as well from [sys].

The hair is a wonderful picture hair from EMO-tions. The “Aquaria” hair probably was made for underwater shootings, but  I loved how wild the whole look became with it.

Now I just had to find the right location. The best places for making pictures – if you do not wanna create your own set – for me are RP sims. Mostly they are created with so much love for the detail.

After looking around I found a place called Midian City. The place had so many amazing corners and hide outs to make pictures that I ended up having way more pictures than I could use .

The people were very nice and kind and I was told I can snap some pics as long as I do not disturb the people who wanna role play. I even got an invite to take part in that RP but I did not yet have time to think about to be honest. But after getting some information about the RP it is totally something I would look into if I would think about RPing again

Halloween time! One of my favourite times of the year

The days get shorter, the nights are colder and all the mystic and darkness surrounds us more and more.

PurpleMoon has an amazing group gift up for Halloween.

The “Poe” outfit comes as a full outfit with gown, mask and wings.

I wanted to make a special Halloween picture for Poulet and her amazing gown so I went ahead and made some poses I could use for my post . The poses turned out to be a new set for my store called ” The Spells”

I wanted to show all parts of this outfit as the gown. The amazing feathers in the back, the awesome feathers that are lying around at the bottom and the incredible wings as well decorated with the feathers.

To get even more Halloween feeling I added some incredible parts from Finesmith. which she has out in a special hunt at the Finesmith main store.

The “Ghost Story” parts wich are part in the hunt where the perfect addition with the wand and the amazing skully headpiece.

For the hair I decided to go with one of my booN hairs. Speaking of booN… they have a huge sale going on where you can grab full fat packs for 78L$!

I can not deny it… I am a child of the 80 somehow.

Born in 1977 I am basically too young to have experienced the 80s fashion myself a lot, but it was the time when I grew up and I still love the style of that time.

The 80s to me kinda show a fashion rebellion and as well I think that the 80s fashion made the way for what we call fashion nowadays.

When I put on the Emma Dress from Gabriel, I immediately fell in love and back to the 80s*giggles. Even if that dress matches a modern styling as well with the red and black and the shape of the dress I so saw Cyndi Lauper or Whitney Houston wearing it :p

The short dress with a kind of wrapped look, where the red overlays the black fabric, the neat belt, it just screamed 80s at me

The back of the “Emma” dress holds a very sexy secret as well You have a small gap between top and skirt that gives a very naughty view on your lower back*rawr*

I added the “Khalessi” bracelets from [sys] and some heavy boots from [GOS], tp even more go towards the 80s look.

The amazing hair, which is connected to the hat comes from Ayashi and just was the perfect addition for that look. Certainly I needed a cool tattoo too and what can be better than one of my beloved White Widow tattoos!

Julie did it again and made a wonderful and as well sexy looking tattoo, that goes over the whole body and even down the hands, plus it even has a wonderful painted garter looking ornament at the left leg. The “Music Box” tattoo is available in the  3 different colors and I chose the ‘Dark’ version for this post.

Halloween… maybe my favourite time of the year

The nights become darker and colder. The fog takes over in most of the evenings and bathes the ground in dense fog so that you get the imagination to walk over grey fogs. Very mysterious

Halloween in the US is way more popular than in Germany, but even over here we have some wild and crazy parties

That gives us the freedom to go wild in SL too and design some crazy outfits for all those Halloween lovers and those who enjoy the season as much as I do

Today I would like to showcase the “Avicularia” outfit, one of our original mesh designs for this years spooky season.

The dress has high open front, and a long flowing back skirt. The gloves, all the spider attachments and the huge spider web in the back are part of the outfit. The gloves fit the regular avatar and as well we included Slink hands applier for all those who love their mesh Slink hands. To be honest I can’t live without them anymore.

The amazing “Myostola” headpiece is another new release at Wicca’s Wardrobe. The headpiece covers nearly the whole head and with the 2 horns it really makes a strong statement. The headpiece is available in 2 different versions. Once with and once without the spider web and the little spider between the horns. For each of the 3 colors you always will get 2 different pieces per box. with a vice versa color combination like black/grey and grey/black for example.

To complete the look we created the “Grammostola” necklace. The collar is inspired by a spiderweb as well and has one little spider sitting at the front left.

To add some more to the look we tried to create some matching makeup too. I have to admit, it looked way more easy than it was and I do not see my future in that*giggles.

Anyways, for this outfit I tried to make a spiderweb for the right eye, an eyeliner and lipstick matching to the basic color of the dress.

Sometimes I get asked why some outfits would have such weird names…  so it was for the Avicularia, Myostola and Grammostola. Basically all those names are certain spiders of the bird spider family " class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> With the latin names it kinda sounded so scary and spooky, that I just loved it " class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />

And now, I wanna go and find a cool place to hang out with my spooky scary look or maybe jump on one of my best friends, not to mention she suffers quite an arachnophobia*giggles evil*

Halloween is – as I stated a few times before – my favourite part of the years. I like the dark, mystic, mysterious and spooky stories and fairytales a lot.

When I was thinking about, what I could style for the “Lula Bella Hat” from SAS. The hat is one of the contributions of Sascha’s Designs for the upcoming Art in Hats event. The hat is a wonderful arrangement of flowers and some awesome shining spheres. The hat is available in white and black at the Art in Hats event.

The hat was all sweet and beautiful and I was really thinking hard about what to do.

I remembered a wonderful corset, which I got lately from a very dear friend. The” Rosalies Corset”, made by  Enfant Terrible. I always admired the work of Enfant Terrible as she puts so much love for the detail in all of her creations. The “Rosalies Corset” again shows that. The shape is amazing realistic and with the sweet ruffles and this incredible texture it really is a wonderful part for your wardrobe.

To complete the style I put on the “Couture Loggins” fro Maitreya. They are kinda a long time favoured of mine. I like the way how the shoes are kinda connected to the leggings.

To complement the wonderful spheres of the hat I decided to wear the “Eva” necklace from Finsmith to add a more elegant and maybe even vintage touch, which the corset already provides.

When I was putting the look together, I still had the super cool “Halloween Decor” gacha set from GizzA up and all of a sudden the little “Eyes Jar” fell right into my view.

Immediately an idea grew in my mind and I started to look for a blindfold in my inventory. I thought I had a special blindfold, what would be right perfect for my imagination, but I did not remember from which brand…

In the moment I was to give up, as my inventory seemed not willing to give me what I wanted, it fell into my hands… The “Bloody Blindfold” from Rotten Defiance!

With having Halloween, I really was a lot of fun, to realize that scary and spooky idea…

It was one of those special moments when you do not really plan on something and all of a sudden things fall together so perfectly…

I did not yet choose an outfit for tonight’s Halloween Party, but that look, might have a good chance to get picked

Today I have the great pleasure to showcase another hat for the Art in Hats 2015 charity. This time it is the contribution of Miss Darcy”.

The “Stillness” hat not only includes the hat, but as well a wonderful and sad dramatic looking face tattoo.

The “Stillness” hat looks like a tree branch coming out from your head and has sitting a little crow in it. Additional to that you have crows flying around your head too what brought me on the idea of todays look.

The face tattoo reminded me about 2 things. First of all about the old silent movies, where pantomimes were used or even about the pantomimes, that you can find out on the street in the big cities who entertain the people while they are shopping.

And for the second reason.. I am a child of the 80s and back then those sad clowns, called Pierrot, were very popular. I know that the general term is way older, but they kinda had a revival in the 80s in black & white. And the mask kinda reminded me of that as well.

When I was putting the hat and the makeup on, I looked at it more and more the Crow theme was growing in my head. Again and again black crows and dead trees were floating through my mind.

The dead tree totally called for something late fall winter looking in my opinion and I remembered the “Corvo” outfit from Zibska. The dark branches were right what I was looking for.

The outfit is made by Leezu and I just used the clothing layers for today. The kinda ripped off lately was the perfect base for the idea I had.

For the shoes I was thinking a long time what I should wear. Boots? … to heavy for the filigree look with the branches… heels? … to elegant…

While I was trying several different shoes, a gift came to my mind. I got this shoes as a special gift, to remember something while I would wear them. The shoes are not common shoes, they are just leather straps wich surround the foot  and the ankles and as a heel they just have one iron pin. I am sure, that those shoes are kinda painful to walk in and as well not very comfortable with poking constantly into the back of the heel *shudders* But since I did not have to walk a lot for the shooting.. it was worth a try :p The shoes kinda underlined the gothic character of the look as well as they were filigree enough to not overload the whole look.

With my addiction to tattoos, I certainly could not miss one of my favourite tattoos from White Widow . The “Cavage” tattoo is available on the We <3 RP event and it is a full body tattoo, which goes from the upper body,shoulders and arms down over the belly to the upper thigh of the right leg. That was perfect for the kinda ripped lately since the bare skin was covered by amazing ink then The tattoo works for the normal avatar and as well for all popular mesh bodies.

Last but not least I added – to complement the shoes – I added a collar from Revolt ([R3]), called “Isobel” with some chains and buckles to bring back those accessories from the bottom to the top as well.

I more and more find my own fun, in playing and fooling around with poses, experimenting with angles and learn new picture processing techniques…

..::DARE::.. – Editorial pose 63 – “You Can’t See Me” (#63)

When I started blogging, I always saw the need toa full body shot, a head shot and maybe even some close-ups of certain accessories. Nothing wrong with that, but the longer I was blogging, the more it was kinda boring to do always the same kind of pictures for each post.

What is a very common way of blog pictures – and yes I tried that as well *grins* – is to have one big picture and then include little close up circles or squares for more details. Nothing wrong with that either, but over the time I more and more had the desire of making more artistic looking pictures, which still showcase the designers work properly.

..::DARE::.. – Face Hands – “Imma Burrito” (#82)

If you have a full body shot, often enough the shoes, the jewelry or even nails often enough are too tiny to really showcase them as the full avatar gets kinda tiny when you try to have all of your body on your picture. Mostly I had the feeling then, that I had more ambience and background on my pictures, than the actual items I wanted to showcase. I thought by myself, what would be wrong to have real closeups as a full picture… sometimes maybe my head or face was missing but is that so important, if I want to showcase an item that my face is on the picture as well? Yes and no… certainly you want to show that the pictures are of yourself and brand yourself for marketing purposes, but sometimes you can even show your face in one closeup and have other pictures with certain parts of your body or furniture. I realized, that if I do that, I need to find interesting angles for the pictures, as if I just crop them they can look boring very easy.

..::DARE::.. – Editorial pose 46 – “I Work Out” (#46)

I already talked about how you can twist and turn poses to weird angles and in the end they turn out as amazing crops or closeups. Some pose stores help with that kind of pictures and ideas, as they make unusual, editorial poses, which sometimes look weird if you see them as a whole or just from the wrong angle. Exactly those poses can be the most interesting if you go for crops, closeups or even interesting angles.

During the last Ferosh Fashion Weekend, I discovered a pose store, which I basically know for a long time but kinda lost out of the view over the time – to be honest I do not really know why…

Chance Greatrex, owner and creator of DARE poses, has a very special vision for his poses. They are really out of the box and different to so many I found on the grid. Just the fact that all his poses have each a unique and story telling name, shows that there is way more behind his poses than just an animation

..::DARE::.. – Editorial pose 62 – “The Struggle Is Real” (#62)

Lately I got s pose set called “Face Hands”, which probably was made with the intention to feature a hand/face combination for example for makeup and nails, rings or hand jewelry. They re perfect for closeups and different angles and while snapping I even had a hard time to sort out the ones I love the most, since I cannot overload a post with over 20 pictures*snickers*

 Since I wanted to do a pose study, I decided to go for something simple but still with ym personal twist for the outfit. I realized, that La Petite Morte has a sale going on where Voshie gives her skins away for 100 lindens! As I still do experiment with my new Catwa head and do not have much skins for it yet, I TPed over to the La Petite Morte and took a look. I was very surprised as I just expected older skins to be on sale, when I realized there are as well newer ones with appliers for several mesh heads and bodies!

..::DARE::.. – Face Hands – “Bedtime” (#78)

I have to admit, I have a weakness for fantasy skins even if I am not able to use them too often, but for pictures they always add something special to the whole look. When I was looking around – after I found the TP to the sales room… typical me… – I immediately fell in love with the “Belle” skin in diamond. It comes with a Catwa applier and when I tried the demo, it looked so stunning that I could not resist to get me one

The face has a wonderful ornament around the eyes and the lips are one of the most stunning lips I ever saw on the Catwa head. With the light purple/grey touch and a shimmering finish, the skin screamed for something mystical or fantasy looking.

To not disturb the view on the body too much I went with the “Siren Set No. 1” by Pixicat. The tight fit on the Slink Physique and the minimal covering of the body was just perfect for a poses and skin showcase. The cool “Bird of Prey” head-piece, we made a little while ago for a themed event, and it just went perfectly with the rest of the look, even if it is a pity that it covers the amazing eye makeup of the skin… that requires another post with this incredible, amazing skin soon I guess :p

The cool finger rings I found at the last round of On9 made by [Since 1975] and I am pretty sure they will be at their main store now.

For the hair I wanted something pulled back, what did not interfere with the head-piece too much and so my choice fell on a ponytail from [taketomi].

..::DARE::.. – Face Hands – “Damn Hot Coffee” (#80)

What as well took me a lot of time lately was polishing my picture procession. I played less with windlights and tried more to work with a graphic program to post process my pictures by painting and drawing certain things like shadows and lights and as well I tired to find new techniques to create certain effects. Fog was something I really wanted to learn for a long time, something that looks realistic and not just painted on and edgy looking. As well, how I can create shadows without using the SL shadows, or my shaky hands to draw fuzzy lines YouTube has a lot of offers for learning new things and from time to time it is really exciting to test something new, like green screen against white screen shots and the possibilities you have with those kind of photography.

So for this post I mixed clean pose studies with interesting angles and new techniques of picture processing and even if it took me a while it was a very intensive learning time, which I really enjoyed
